Biography

Dave Franco is an American actor, director, producer, and screenwriter known for his work in comedy, action, and thriller films. He was born David John Franco on June 12, 1985, in Palo Alto, California. He is the youngest of three brothers, with his older brothers being actors James Franco and Tom Franco. Franco attended the University of Southern California, where he originally focused on writing before becoming interested in acting. He began his television career in 2006 with a small appearance on the series 7th Heaven. His nickname is Davy, although he is professionally known as Dave Franco.

Franco made his film debut in the 2007 comedy Superbad, where he played Greg the Soccer Player. Although the role was small, the film helped introduce him to a wider audience. He continued building his acting career with appearances in films such as Milk, Greenberg, Charlie St. Cloud, and Fright Night. He also gained attention on television, particularly for playing Cole Aaronson during the ninth season of the comedy series Scrubs.
