10,000 BC (2008) is an epic adventure film directed by Roland Emmerich. Set in a prehistoric world, the story follows D’Leh, a young hunter living with the Yagahl tribe in a mountain region. D’Leh loves Evolet, a young woman who was brought to the tribe after her people were attacked. When mysterious warriors arrive and kidnap Evolet along with several villagers, D’Leh refuses to accept her loss. Although frightened and uncertain, he decides to follow the kidnappers and rescue those he loves. His journey takes him far beyond the familiar mountains and introduces him to unfamiliar landscapes, dangerous animals, and civilizations.
