The story follows Stella Oleson, who is struggling to cope with the death of her husband, Eben, after the vampire attack on Barrow, Alaska. Stella has spent months trying to convince people that vampires exist, but most dismiss her claims as unbelievable. While travelling and investigating vampire activity, she learns that a group of vampires has been operating in secret across different cities.
