Biography
Alexandra Park is an Australian actress, writer, and producer best known for her roles in television and independent films. She was born on May 14, 1989, in Sydney, Australia, and was raised in the Sydney suburb of Riverview. Park became interested in acting while growing up and began her professional career at 19. Her first major television role came in the Australian soap opera Home and Away, where she played Claudia Hammond in 2009. She later returned to the series as Robyn Sullivan in 2013. Park also appeared in the children’s television series The Elephant Princess as Veronica, as well as guest roles in Packed to the Rafters and Wonderland. These early performances helped her gain experience and recognition within the Australian entertainment industry.
Park’s international breakthrough came when she was cast as Princess Eleanor Henstridge in the E! drama series The Royals. She played the rebellious and complicated princess for all four seasons, from 2015 to 2018, and the role made her internationally recognisable. Her performance combined comedy, drama, romance, and emotional storylines, allowing her to demonstrate her range as an actress. Park subsequently moved into feature films, appearing in 12 Feet Deep, Shooting in Vain, and the critically acclaimed drama Ben Is Back, where she played Cara K. alongside Julia Roberts and Lucas Hedges. Her work in these projects established her as a versatile performer capable of moving between television and film.
In addition to acting, Park has developed her career as a writer and producer. She produced and starred in the television comedy Everyone Is Doing Great, which was created by her husband, actor James Lafferty. The series demonstrated her interest in working behind the camera as well as performing. She later appeared in the Australian horror thriller Carnifex and the action thriller Red Right Hand. Park has continued to build a varied career across Australian and American productions, balancing dramatic performances with independent projects. Her journey from Australian television to international recognition demonstrates her determination and versatility. Although she is best known for The Royals, her work in films such as Ben Is Back and Carnifex has further established her as a respected actress with experience in both mainstream and independent entertainment.
