3022 is set in the year 2190, science fiction thriller that follows a group of American astronauts stationed aboard Pangea, a space station responsible for refuelling spacecraft travelling between Earth and Europa, one of Jupiter’s moons. Captain John Laine, engineer Jackie Miller, doctor Richard Valin, and crew member Lisa Brown are assigned to a ten-year mission in deep space. Initially, the team works together effectively, but years of isolation begin to take a serious psychological toll. As loneliness, anxiety, and emotional exhaustion threaten their ability to function, the astronauts struggle to maintain their relationships and sense of purpose. Their already difficult situation becomes a nightmare when a catastrophic event strikes, leaving the station damaged and communication with Earth mysteriously silent.
After repeated attempts to contact Earth fail, the crew discovers evidence suggesting that their home planet may have been destroyed in a devastating extinction-level event. Faced with the possibility that humanity has been wiped out, the surviving astronauts must confront the terrifying prospect of being among the last humans alive. With their resources dwindling and the station’s life-support systems deteriorating, hope begins to fade. Jackie desperately wants to return to Earth to find her daughter, while John attempts to keep the crew focused on survival. Their situation becomes even more complicated when another group of astronauts arrives seeking refuge. Although their arrival initially offers renewed hope, differences in personality, conflicting priorities, and the desperate struggle for limited resources soon create tension and mistrust. The fragile cooperation between the survivors begins to collapse as fear and desperation take control.
As the danger escalates, John and Jackie must make increasingly difficult decisions that will determine whether they have any chance of surviving. The film explores the psychological effects of isolation, the devastating consequences of losing hope, and the lengths people may go to when survival becomes their only priority. Against the haunting backdrop of space, where help seems impossibly distant and Earth may no longer exist, 3022 presents a tense story about human resilience, sacrifice, and the need for connection. Ultimately, the film asks whether hope can endure even when the future of humanity appears lost and survival depends on trusting others in the most desperate circumstances.
